A few things that make me happy, and might make you happy too!

[1] Girls: HBO original series. If you have HBO, or HBO on demand and have some free time, look for the series GIRLS. It is hilarious, honest, and like nothing else I have ever seen. I will warn you, its somewhat crude, which matches my sense of humor perfectly. It might be something you hate, or it might just be your new favorite pass time show to watch.... I know its mine.

[2] Jessica Valenti: I have read all of her books, I read her blog all the time, and now they are making a documentary on her Book The Purity Myth. Stoked. This subject is one that I find so interesting, and as a feminist, I couldnt be happier about this film and the message Jessica is getting across one reader, one listener, one young female at a time!

[3] Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss: Okay, I am NOT a lipgloss gal. I like chapstick, chapstick, and oh yeah, chapstick. A girl at my work introduced me to this lipgloss after I complimented her on her lipcolor and I.AM.Hooked. It isn't sticky at all, it stays on, it leaves an amazing lip stain color on your lips. Ah, I love it, and I know all of you will too. My favorite color is called "Sizzle Canicule" It is an orangey red color. Perfect.
[4] Fleet Foxes: Soundtrack to my soul right now. I cant find a single song that I dont like. How I havent found them before I am shocked. All I know it, I cant stop listening and I want more. Here is a youtube video I have had on repeat all week. Enjoy.

[5] Society6: Want amazing artwork for your room? Your kitchen? Laptop? Cellphone? GO HURRY! I Love this website and I cannot get enough of all of the artwork that they have and at such a great price. Pretty fabulous. Click Here :)

Congratulations Phillip!

I dont care if he is the  "5th 'white' male" to win American Idol, He deserved to win. I called it from his very first audition. He shows true artistry that has never been shown on a show like American Idol before. I cant wait for this guys future and the amazing music he will put out into the world.

Graduated= Awesome, Self Encouraging Acronyms

Yes, When I feel a little stressed out, I make acronyms.
Weird? Maybe. Helpful? Absolutely.

G- Grind Time. Time to put on your big girl panties and find a job babe!
R- Rally the troops. Your going to need the people you love most supporting you, it takes alot of no's to get a yes. Just make sure your around constant positivity.
A- Answering Machine- Change it! No prospective employer wants to listen to some dumb, drunken voicemail you thought was funny when you were a senior in high school.
D- Determination. Stay focused, and Stay calm. All good things come in time.
U- Under Wraps. Dont want your interviewer to see what you did the night before? Don't put it on Facebook. End of Story.
A- Avoid being Awkward. Know the company your interviewing for. Do your homework, and you will avoid that awkward I-dont-have-a-clue-what-the-hell-are-you-talking-about silence.
T- Turbulence. Life is full of ups and downs. So learn something from every down, and take the time to enjoy every up.
E- Extracurricular- Do what you love, and don't settle. You will never be happy unless you are actually enjoying yourself while working, so find something that you actually like to do. Shouldn't be that hard.
D- Drink. When all else fails, grab a cold beer, put your feet up. Tomorrow is a new day.

Its Something Extraordinary.

"A soulmate is the one person whose love is powerful enough to motivate you to meet your soul, to do the emotional work of self-discovery, of awakening".

Where do I even begin? My sister is something pretty spectacular, a lot of things pretty spectacular actually. She is a doctor, a dancer, a beautiful person inside and out, loud laugher, strong willed, gemini. One hell of a chef, one amazing advice giver. She makes you see the world in completely new ways. She always listens with not only her ears, but her soul. The light she has shed in my life has been one I have gladly followed. No, I cant be a doctor like her and save the lives of animals everyday (I'm to wimpy), but I can strive to be a good person like her. Someone who brings positivity, love, laughter, and heart to everyone I meet.

She flew in from Seattle to surprise me on my Graduation Day. After the initial shock and a twenty minutes of crying (happy tears of coarse, I missed her obviously), I was completely blown away by her. Flying in to stay a total of 12 hours, to hear my name be called and watch me walk across stage and scream my name, it is an unbelievable feeling of love. I know without a doubt in my mind, my sister is my soulmate. That may be strange for some people to understand, but the relationship we have, the bond we share, the love I feel from her and I hope she feels from me, its something extraordinary.

Laura- Thank you for being the sister that you are, the friend that you are, and the best counterpart anyone could ask for. You have guided me, believed in me, and helped shaped me into the woman that I am, and the best in me came only from you.

I.Love.You.
